Abstract

Real-time, actionable data from store-based IoT systems improves customer touch. Integration of retail IoT data might influence targeted marketing and consumer engagement. This article addresses the many opportunities and challenges as well. IoT provides among other things tailored experiences, data harvesting, and customer insights for retail. IoT data integration is challenging and needs for technical and operational knowledge. 

The amount and speed of IoT data arriving from connected devices make retail integration challenging. Retailers must mix many data sources if they want accuracy and uniformity on platforms. Perfect communication between IoT devices and systems relies on data consumption, so interoperability is fairly critical. Examining large volumes of data demands for both analytical frameworks and data processing techniques.
