Abstract

Fast industry-wide digital change calls for both technical acceptance and reorganization. Changes in businesses call for more cross-functional cooperation. Research demonstrates that digital transformation calls for IT, HR, finance, operations, marketing, and R&D cooperation among other areas. Digital transformation embraces big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence by means of basic changes in organizational strategy, practices, and culture. Operational cross-functional coordination relates technical projects to commercial goals and enhances decision-making.

We research theories and effects on organizational agility, creativity, and resilience of cross-functional contact. By means of comparison of team interactions, shared knowledge, and departmental resource allocation, one may see if cross-functional cooperation facilitates digital transformation. New technology seems strange, hence digital transformation is challenging. Combining various data sources, cross-functional teams evaluate risk, generate ideas, and provide insights on organizational-wide change. Together HR, marketing, and IT manage worker training, change management, and customer-centric strategy for digital readiness and agility.
